Oil Cooler Brackets

Project was to develop oil cooler brackets for the Hyundai I30N with one very important rule - needs to be installed with NO cutting to the vehicle. Prior to even pulling the bumper off the car through the use of CAD and 3D printing a 1:1 scale bracket assembly was printed and tested. The mounting dimensions of the oil cooler were also known so a base plate replicating the oil cooler was also printed. These were tested on the car and allowed fast turn around without needing to waste a large amount of time and metal during the prototyping phase....

L Bracket

Client was after a couple of simple 90 degree L brackets to assist assembling wooden 4x4 draws. Printed in PLA with 30% hex infill, these simple and cost effective brackets are more than stiff enough to hold the panels at the 90 degree angle Bracket in use

Roller Door Gear

A broken idler gear on a roller door meant it would not operate up or down via the motor mechanism. With two halves of the gear reverse engineering still wasn't perfectly straight forward to account for wear of the gear over time. The final product was recreated and then printed in ABS as a test piece, this test piece has been in operation since October 2020.
